Greenpeace has criticised Apple for Not being environmentally friendly in the Past, so its perhaps not very surprising that the Organisation has condemned the iPhone for containing Hazardous Chemicals. But what is kind of surprising is that Apple could get Sued over the Toxic Chemicals contained within its Wares.
The Centre for Environmental Health has announced that it will be suing Apple because the level of Phthalates found in the iPhones Earbud cords are phrohibited in childrens toys in San Francisco and by the European Union.
These Chemicals often found in plasticky materials, Seem to cause development abnormalities in Mammals, and although its perhaps unlikely that children will be putting iPhone earbuds in their mouths, the Centre for Environmental Health still doesn't think Apple is justified in using such Materials.
The goal is to get Apple to make its Products out of less Harmfull Materials.
