The seventh Mobile Choice Awards has been announced, with the event being held on 4 October at The Old Billingsgate Market in London.
The night is the definitive consumer awards event, when Mobile Choice and its panel of experts and reader voters celebrate the best the industry has to offer.
After a pretty difficult period because of the numerous build quality related issues, the famous Finnish mobile-phone giant seemed to be back on form.
Nokia was the night’s big winner and won probably the most coveted award of all, Manufacturer of the Year title that is supported with two more awards, Nokia N95 wins the Reader’s Dream Phone award and Nokia 6110 Navigator as the Best Sat Nav solution.
This is the 4th Nokia N95 award if I remember right which is pretty respectable score, previously Nokia N95 was voted as “European Media Phone”, wins a "Best Of What's New" and prestigious TIPA Award.
Although Nokia has the two great smartphones on the list, the Best Smartphone of the year award goes to the Blackberry Curve 8300 while Samsung gets the Phone of the Year award with its G600 phone. Nokia also fails to get award in Best Music, Best Camera and Best Fashion Phone category which is a little bit surprising.
